Australian Writers Centre – The AWC weekly e-newsletter is about as upbeat, playful and informative as I’ve ever seen. Always a joy to read. (@WritersCentreAU)

Writers Edit – Regular articles that go deep into specific areas of writing. Writers Edit also collates a regularly updated list of upcoming writing competitions and other writing opportunities (including freelance writing jobs, though you have to pay to access these). (@WritersEdit)

Gotham Writers – The “Writing News and “Writing Advice” e-newsletters have links to articles from across the web that you just wouldn’t have come across in your regular travels. (@gothamwriters)

Writers Write – A South Africa-based writers’ resource famous for its regular Facebook writing prompts. Don’t forget to check out the great back catalogue of useful articles. (@Writers_Write)

All the Writers Centres in Australia’s capital cities – Even if you are a member of one, don’t forget the others! Each has different focuses reflecting their local audiences, director’s preferences and unique range of contributors.
